Remember to bring along:
  • Alaska Fishing License (we sell these on board)

  • Rain gear, wind blocking fabrics are best
  • Personal medications

  • Rubber boots or shoes you don’t mind getting wet
  • Warm clothing in layers
  • Sunscreen
  • Seasickness medication
  • Sunglasses
  • Warm, waterproof gloves & hat
  • Sense of humor & fun attitude
On the day of your trip, plan to meet at slip G-20 at 6:30 AM. When you make a booking, a stick map to guide you to our slip is included as part of your invoice. If you’re going to be late, call us. As soon as licenses are checked, personal gear is loaded, and a safety briefing is completed, we’ll depart the Homer harbor for a fun day of fishing. If you are susceptible to seasickness or think that you might be, medicate early per directions. Smoking is not allowed except on the fishing deck.

Fishing in Alaska is a very physical activity, so make sure you’re prepared for it. After a 1 to 2 hour journey to the fishing grounds, we’ll take care of rigging tackle and baiting up. Once your catch is landed, it will be stunned, bled, and cooled. After a photo session, your fish will be filleted on our way back to port. Expect to be at the dock with smiles on by 5 PM. We can arrange for further processing, vacuum-wrapping, freezing, and shipping of your catch from companies in the area. They will meet us when we arrive to pick up your fish in one seamless operation.
