What do I need to bring?
The short answer is, "As little as possible". You need everything we recommend for a typical day charter on our "Homer Fishing Charters" page, plus a change of clothing, toothbrush, and personal items. Rubber boots are very handy for transfers between our dinghy and shore. Please limit your luggage to a small day pack or gym bag.

What's provided?
All meals, non-alcoholic beverages, bedding, and everything normally included in our day trips. For hot showers, we also provide towels, biodegradable soap, and shampoo.

What's not provided?
Alcoholic beverages and personal snacks are not included.

What happens to my fish overnight?
We fillet your catch on board and either send it back to a fish processor in Homer with one of our associates, or ice it down in our coolers.

What's the food like?
Breakfast is usually fresh scrambled eggs, pork sausage links, biscuits with butter & jelly, coffee, and juice.

Sack lunches normally contain a sandwich, chips, and a sweet treat.

A typical dinner is fried SPAM (as an alternative, we are allowed to prepare your fresh catch for you if you request it), rice pilaf, vegetable, and dessert.

Our all-inclusive, multi-species, double-limit Chrome Bay overnight trips are designed for fishermen who know the value of staying where the fish live. For the extreme fishing fanatic, we offer 2 & 3-day fishing-centric packages at Homer’s most unique, off-the-grid, eco-friendly wilderness yurt lodge. This trip is designed for the fisherman that wants to fish hard in Homer’s richest waters, spend a comfortable night on dry land, then fish hard again. Book a 3-day trip for a more relaxed pace.

Timing and species fished will vary based on weather, species availability, group preference, etc. Typically, we fish for halibut, lingcod (beginning July 1st), rockfish, king salmon, and silver salmon. Daily catch and possession limits vary by species.

First day itinerary:

6:30-Meet at slip G-20 with your small day pack or gym bag
Multi-species fishing with sack lunch provided
4:30-Arrive at Chrome Bay and transfer to shore
6:00-Dinner served
Evening at your leisure to enjoy a campfire, relax, and soak up the midnight sun

Second day itinerary:

6:00-Wakeup call, gather belongings
6:30-Hot breakfast served
7:00-Transfer to “Last Laugh”
Multi-species fishing with sack lunch provided
2:30-Depart for Homer
5:00-Arrive at the Homer harbor with lifetime memories!

An additional day may be added. Since we are located so close to prime fishing, the middle day of our 3-day trip is usually over by 2-3 PM, leaving plenty of time to relax or explore the area.

Due to unpredictable weather, there is always a possibility of delays or cancellation, and we accept no liability for a late departure and/or return or weather cancellation. Your travel plans should be flexible, and we strongly recommend trip insurance.
